RIDE WITH CONFIDENCE

F.A.S.T.TM gives you peace of mind knowing that you and your family have added protection when crossing frozen lakes and rivers. F.A.S.T.TM insulation is made from a multi-layer closed cell foam membrane that offers buoyancy assistance for up to 2 hours.

F.A.S.T PLUNGE

THE PLUNGE

Cold Shock Response

Upon entering the water your body reacts with an involuntary deep gasp followed by massive hyperventilation. During the first minute it's important to keep your head above water, control your breathing, and remain calm.

Cold Incapacitation

After about 10 minutes your body begins to lose muscle and nerve function, and you may no longer be able to make meaningful movements. It's imperative to do everything you can to exit the water before this takes effect.

Hypothermia

The full effects of Hypothermia will set in after about an hour if the rider is not able to get out of the water and seek shelter/warmth.

Rapid Surfacing & Float Assist

Immediately upon entering the water, F.A.S.T.TM Insulation brings the rider to the surface quickly, keeping the head above water through initial cold shock response.

Self Leveling

55-60% of the overall buoyancy of the F.A.S.T.TM system comes from the pants / lower body. This is intentionally engineered to assist the rider in bringing their torso and legs up into a horizontal position as they attempt to exit the water. Additionally, FXR boots are constructed of highly buoyant materials and increase the overall buoyancy assistance of the suit.

Escape Assist

To reduce the chances of breaking through additional ice while exiting the water, it's important to spread out your body weight by sliding and shimmying back up onto the ice in a flat position. This can be accomplished on your stomach but may also be attempted on your back if sliding up on your stomach is too difficult.

Rapid Drainage

Each gallon of water inside the suit is equivalent to 10lbs of extra weight, which can make exiting the water more difficult, especially on thin ice. Rapid Drain inserts in the jacket/pants allow water to drain as the rider exits the water.

Wet/Dry Insulation

Once out, F.A.S.T.TM retains its thermal properties even when wet to keep body temperatures from dropping and delay the effects of Hypothermia while seeking help and shelter.

Get Out. Get Home. Protect your Family.

F.A.S.T Unrestricted Mobility

Unrestricted Mobility & Function
The life saving feature that you'll never notice.

F.A.S.T.TM Insulation is strategically positioned within the suit to allow unrestricted flexibility and movement, both on the sled as well as submersed and escaping the water. F.A.S.T.TM is perforated in all vent areas as well as in the seat of the pants to provide maximum venting and breathability similar to a standard suit.

Important: F.A.S.T.TM insulation is made from a multi-layer closed cell foam membrane that offers buoyancy assistance for up to 2 hours. 55-60% of the overall buoyancy of the F.A.S.T.TM system comes from the pants / lower body, as such FXR jackets and pants with F.A.S.T.TM must be worn together as a suit to achieve the intended buoyancy assistance properties. F.A.S.T.TM items may be rendered ineffective in adverse conditions such as strong water currents. F.A.S.T.TM equipped products are NOT COAST GUARD APPROVED.
